In this episode, a review of the overexposed Grand Theft Auto 4, but to offset that, impressions of the definitely underexposed Viking: Battle For Asgard, and I wonder why I waited so long to play the episodic Sam and Max adventure games.

I hit all the things I missed from not podcasting last week, so there’s a bit of old news with TGS and Halo launch overviews. But I don’t dwell on that too long because I quickly get into a massive TV section where I review a bunch of different pilots - Chuck, Journeyman, Reaper, The Bionic Woman, Life. With Heroes return I also discuss the two episodes of that, and you can guess what I think about that from the episode’s title.

The Tokyo Game Show is almost upon us, so I decided to talk about what I’m most excited to hear about in the show. The top spot might surprise you. Then, I take a whole segment to talk about the OCRemix album “Voices of the Lifestream”, which takes Nobuo Uematsu’s music from Final Fantasy 7, and takes it in strange directions. And what would the show be without dry narrations of sales numbers? It’s NPD time in the news segment, which also includes bits about the Halo “Believe” campaign, the Team Fortress 2 Beta coinciding with the release of Fortress Forever, FASA’s disbanding and, of course, a final news story for the sole purpose of mocking Nintendo. In case you couldn’t tell, that one was sarcastic.

After you listen to the video games segment of this show, you might wonder if gaming is the wrong hobby for me, because I get into all the franchises I can’t stand. I’d be surprised if anyone in the world agrees with me on this. After that, I finish up with Battlestar, get into government conspiracies and bizarre prophecies with Alias, and get shot in the face by Clive Owen in Shoot ‘Em Up. Last of all, you’ll hear a bit about one of my epic book series, “Origins” and how it evolved from when I started writing it about ten years ago. Hint: let me show you them.
